On July 31, 2023, ATB Financial completed its C$39 million financing of Cardston Spring Coulee Solar GP Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield Renewables, to fund the construction of a 29.5 MW solar power project located in Spring Coulee, Alberta. The project is estimated to offset 35,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions annually, generating enough electricity to power more than 5,000 Alberta homes.
