Xinya received her JD from the University of Ottawa. At law school, Xinya was a Dean’s Legal Research and Writing Fellow, Legal Writing Leader, and caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. She was also a Co-Lead for NORTH, an interdisciplinary health initiative that helps patients access community-based resources.
Before law school, Xinya completed her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of British Columbia. Xinya has worked at various research institutions, including the Biodiversity Research Centre, the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute, and the Vancouver Prostate Centre.
In her free time, Xinya enjoys running, drinking coffee, and browsing used bookstores.
