Vino is a graduate of McGill University’s Faculty of Law, where she obtained her dual Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) degrees. During her time in law school, Vino served as Head Editor for the Contours Journal (Voices of Women in Law), Senior Editor for the McGill Journal of Law and Health, and researcher for the Women’s Legal Empowerment and Action Fund through Pro Bono Students Canada. Vino also worked as a research fellow for Human Rights Watch, exploring alternatives to detention for child migrants; this is an issue that is very close to her heart, as the daughter of refugees herself.

Prior to her studies in law, Vino cultivated years of experience in building and nurturing multi-faceted global partnerships between policymakers, legal activists, and academics at a non-profit organization. She was also assigned to a secondment with one of the firm’s largest clients, where she had the opportunity to assist with complex matters relating to cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and consumer protection.

Vino wrote an academic paper on the retention of female lawyers in private practice that was recognized by the Canadian Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Forum.
