Victoria Everett is counsel in our Financial Services Group in Toronto. Her practice is focused on providing practical and skilled advice on lending and secured financing transactions. She routinely represents Canadian and foreign credit providers and borrowers in the context of a wide range of sophisticated debt financing arrangements. Her practice has a particular emphasis on cross-border finance, acquisition finance, asset-based lending and loan syndications.
Victoria received her Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded the Raphael Partners LLP prize in Tort Law. She holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics, with a specialization in International Trade, from the University of Waterloo.
She was called to the Ontario bar in 2006, qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2009, and was called to the New York State bar in 2011.
Victoria began her career as a lawyer at McCarthy Tétrault in 2006 prior to moving to the London, UK office of a leading international law firm. She returned to McCarthy Tétrault in 2024.
Victoria is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales, the Law Society of Ontario, and the New York State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region.
