Thomas Etienne is an associate in the Business Law Group in Montréal. His practice is focused on corporate and securities law, and more specifically on public and private mergers and acquisitions, project and business financing, private equity and fintech.
Mr. Etienne earned a master’s degree from the McGill University Faculty of Law in 2013. He also completed a double bachelor’s degree in business law and financial management at the Université Paris I Sorbonne in 2012 (with distinction).
Prior to articling, Mr. Etienne also completed an internship with the Quebec securities regulator (Autorité des marchés financiers), more specifically with the derivatives regulation team that he worked with to create a fintech working group. Mr. Etienne currently sits as secretary and director for FinFusion, an association dedicated to uniting, promoting and developing Quebec’s fintech community.
Mr. Etienne was called to the Quebec Bar in 2016 and is a member of the Young Bar Association of Montréal and the Canadian Bar Association.
