Ted Cox is an associate in our Real Property and Planning Group in Toronto.
His practice encompasses many aspects of commercial real estate, including mid and large scale acquisitions and divestitures; secured lending transactions for borrowers and lenders; commercial, industrial and retail leasing; commercial development projects; and real estate aspects of renewable energy project financing, mergers & acquisitions, and initial public offerings. Ted has represented real estate investment trusts, pension funds, asset managers, domestic and international financial institutions, developers, life insurance companies, various tenants and other clients in the real estate community.
Ted joined McCarthy Tétrault as a student in 2011. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, he worked in various areas of the commercial real estate industry including analysis, property management and as a sales agent at a national US commercial real estate brokerage. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University in 2007 and received dual Canadian and American JD degrees (magna cum laude) from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy in 2012.
He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.
