Suzie Cusson is an associate in our Business Law Group in Toronto. She maintains a general corporate and commercial practice, advising on a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, prospectus offerings, corporate finance and project finance. Suzie has experience contributing to mandates in various industries including energy, technology and consumer products.
While in law school, Suzie was Submissions Manager of the French-language edition of the Ottawa Law Review, participated in the Laskin moot competition (Best Factum – University of Ottawa, Civil Law) and co-authored a book chapter on Quebec family law procedure.
Suzie obtained her JD and LLL from the University of Ottawa in 2017 (Summa Cum Laude; Silver Medalist). She previously obtained her Honours Bachelor of Commerce, with option in International Management from the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa in 2010 (Summa Cum Laude). Prior to law school, Suzie worked in the federal government in the field of international contract management, advising on complex competitive procurement processes and multilateral arrangements with UN entities and NGOs.
Suzie was called to the Ontario bar in 2018. She is a member of the Ontario Law Society.
