Sou is an associate in our Business Law Group in Calgary. He maintains a general corporate practice which includes corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions (public and private), and corporate governance. Sou has experience working with clients on a variety of corporate transactions, including private placements, asset and share transactions, and corporate reorganizations.
Sou holds both a Master and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Acadia University. He completed his Juris Doctor as the University of Calgary. While in law school Sou volunteered in programs such as Student Legal Assistance, Pro Bono Students Canada, and the Venture Clinic. He also worked as a legal research assistant at the University of Calgary. His work revolved around the Faculty of Law’s efforts to further develop and improve its Indigenous Strategy. In his third year, Sou participated in an International Energy Law Study Group Program at the London School of Economics.
Sou was called to the Alberta bar in 2021 and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
