Sonny is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montreal. He maintains a practice including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate, commercial and capital markets transactions, and regulatory compliance. Sonny frequently works with clients in the food and beverage, agribusiness, consumer goods and hospitality industries. He is focused on delivering sound up-to-date advice across a wide-range of regulatory, compliance and transactional matters.

Sonny has experience advising clients on a variety of transactions, including public and private, domestic, cross-border and international M&A, private placements, asset and share transactions, drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements, and corporate reorganizations. He also works with companies in the food, beverage, agribusiness and alcohol industries to ensure regulatory compliance with their Canadian regulatory obligations.

Sonny completed his law degree at the University of Montreal while concurrently working as a political advisor to a provincial cabinet minister and, subsequently, to the Official Opposition Critic for Finance and the Economy at the National Assembly of Québec. He previously served in the reserves of the Canadian Armed Forces and currently sits on the board of directors of a local non-profit raising funds for children’s hospitals.

Sonny was called to the Québec bar in 2022 and is a member of the Barreau du Québec.
