Simran Choongh completed her law degree at the University of Calgary. Prior to law school, she received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. While completing her undergraduate degree, Simran served as an executive and President of Women in Science and Engineering (W.I.S.E). She has also been involved in two separate overseas volunteering projects, constructing and renovating a boy’s orphanage in Cusco, Peru and a daycare in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Simran has worked with both federal and provincial levels of government. During law school, she volunteered as a legal caseworker with Student Legal Assistance.
Her interests include hiking and basketball.
