A tenacious advocate and creative problem solver, Sherry is committed to achieving her clients’ objectives.

Sherry is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. She is building a general litigation practice with a focus on commercial, regulatory, and constitutional matters. She is also on the organizing committee for the Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot. In addition, Sherry is a member of the firm’s national Cannabis Law Group and advises cannabis clients on their regulatory questions.

During her articles at the firm, Sherry assisted with a variety of hearings and motions, including a summary judgement motion in a defamation action, a Mareva injunction, and a stay of proceedings in a criminal matter.

Sherry received her JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. While in law school, Sherry served as the Equity Officer for the Students’ Law Society (SLS). In this role, which she occupied for two consecutive years, Sherry worked to ensure that the SLS and Faculty of Law policies were equitable and inclusive of all members of her law school community. Equity and inclusion are matters for which Sherry continues to be very passionate and which she hopes to advance at the firm.

Before commencing her legal studies, Sherry worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at York Universities Research and Innovation office, where she helped develop marketing strategies for a variety of inventions. Sherry also worked with the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) to address the legal and ethical issues associated with the integration of artificial intelligence in the delivery of health care.

Sherry was called to the Ontario bar in 2022. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
