Shaun is a dynamic leader and legal professional with a multifaceted background in corporate governance, entrepreneurial support, and advocacy. He previously served as President of the University of Toronto Students Union. 

During his legal studies, Shaun provided legal support to early-stage companies in the technology and FinTech industries through Startup Legal Services and the Slingshot x LASL legal clinic. Shaun has served within the Legal departments of an independent asset management firm and national bank, where he led global regulatory compliance programs and operational risk management programs and conducted research on the impacts of enhanced Know Your Client obligations for registrants. 

Shaun participated in the 2023 Canadian National Negotiation Competition, where his team was awarded the Spirit of Negotiation Award for exemplifying collaboration, humility, teamwork, and respect. Additionally, he achieved finalist status in the 2023 Lincoln Cup negotiation competition.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science from McMaster University. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law in 2024. Shaun was called to the Bar in June 2024. As a law student, Shaun was awarded the Dr. Anver Saloojee Award for Anti-Discrimination and the BlackNorth Initiative Scholarship, recognizing his commitment to equity, diversity, and excellence in scholarship. Shaun's leadership and engagement have been widely recognized, culminating in a nomination for the Leadership and Engagement Award for the Class of 2024.

In his spare time, Shaun enjoys rock climbing, basketball, and listening to podcasts.
