Osgoode Hall Law School

Shahaab is entering his final year at Osgoode Hall. Prior to law school, he received his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with First-Class Standing) from Brock University before completing the accelerated Paralegal program at Seneca College.

After graduating, Shahaab worked at a major corporation within the workers' compensation industry where he represented employers. He served as the point of contact for his clients and had full carriage of files, from initiation through to resolution. He also researched and drafted independent appeals submissions to WSIAT, all of which were successful.

As dedicated contributor to the legal and boarder community, at law school, Shahaab worked as a Caseworker for Community & Legal Aid Services Program, a poverty law clinic that provides legal advice and representation to low-income residents and students. During his final year, he will provide pro-bono legal assistance to investors who have suffered a loss at the Investor Protection Clinic. Shahaab also works as a mentor, providing guidance, support, and advice to first-year law students to help them navigate their academic and professional journey.

Shahaab also brings a strong alternative dispute resolution background. He is a Certified Mediator and has facilitated numerous matters at Small Claims Court in various cities. He also participates in moots, having won second place nationally in the Canadian Client Consultation Competition in his first year.

In his free time, Shahaab enjoys racing at the track as well as mountain biking and wrestling.
