Sébastien Thomas is a partner in the Montreal office. He practises real estate and infrastructure law, with extensive experience in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing and development projects, with a focus on commercial and industrial projects, energy and infrastructure. He also has developed an expertise in municipal and administrative law, including in connection with municipal regulation (including zoning), transfer duties (land transfer tax), realty tax and expropriation, in the contexts of both litigation and project implementations.
Sébastien was a guest speaker at the McGill University Law Faculty, teaching, amongst other things, municipal law and property taxes in the context of commercial leasing. He also was a guest speaker at the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal, teaching municipal law to students pursuing their Master’s degree in real estate management.
Sébastien is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Urban Development Institute of Quebec and the Canadian Property Tax Association.
Sébastien received his LL.B. in 1999 from Université de Montréal.
