Sara Baxter is an associate in our Tax Group in Toronto, where she maintains a general tax practice.

Sara graduated from the Queen’s University, Faculty of Law. While at law school, Sara was the President of the Class of 2022 Year Council and the Vice President of Finance for the Queen’s Law Student Society. She was also an oralist for the Adam V. Fanaki Competition Law Moot and the Queen’s Law Grand Moot. After her first year, Sara completed the virtual International Business Law program and she was the recipient of the Queen's Law Prize in International Commercial Law. Sara previously led two projects with Pro Bono Students Canada and was a student caseworker with the Queen’s Business Law Clinic.

Prior to law school, Sara completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with Co-operative Education at Acadia University. While there she was a recipient of the Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies as one of the top 8 business students in Atlantic Canada. She was a member of the Varsity Women’s Rugby Team, President of Enactus Acadia and Co-President of the Acadia Players’ Association.

Sara summered and articled at McCarthy Tétrault. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2023. She is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, International Fiscal Association, Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario. She is currently completing Year 2 of the CPA In-Depth Income Tax Program.
