RJ is a student at the University of Toronto, where he is enrolled jointly with the Faculty of Law and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. Prior to law school, RJ attended the University of British Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a minor in Statistics. During and after his undergraduate, RJ worked in Zambia, Laos, and Nigeria as a research associate on projects related to child health. In addition, he has worked for a non-profit focussed on developing and sustaining positive relations between mining companies and local communities.
At law school, RJ is the lead student in charge of Pro Bono Student Canada’s nation-wide monitoring and evaluation. He has been an editor with the Journal of International Law and International Relations and has volunteered with Transparency International where he assisted with legal research and advocacy.
In his spare time, RJ enjoys running and getting outdoors in whatever way possible.
