Ripple Kaila has finished her second year of law school at Thompson Rivers University. Ripple spent her last summer working as a summer student in the Legal Real Estate Department of Canada’s largest food retailer (Loblaws Companies Limited). During law school, she has also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, providing legal research and interviewing service providers for Access to Justice BC - Family Justice Pathfinder Project.
Ripple holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. Alongside her degree, Ripple completed a cooperative education program working at a large mining/oil and gas company (Teck Resources Ltd.) and continued on with them for three years. During her undergrad, Ripple volunteered at the Calgary Youth Justice Committee as a Committee member and also, volunteered with the Student Union at the University of Calgary for two years.
Ripple spent 2 years at a major financial institution (TD Canada Trust) working in retail banking in the financial services sector.
She is the executive member of the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) at the law school.
Interests: Ripple is an avid fitness enthusiast who loves strength training and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen for new healthy recipes.
