Rebecca completed her J.D. at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she was a teacher who worked with children as a Learning Support and Gifted Learning Support Teacher in British Columbia. After four years of teaching, Rebecca began law school.

At law school, Rebecca worked in the Tenant Division of the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, where she assisted clients with legal matters pertaining to residential tenancies. She became a Division Leader at the Legal Clinic and mentored incoming students. As Equity Co-Chair of a legal mentorship group for people who identify as women, she helped organize a roundtable event focusing on intersectionality in the law. Rebecca received the Greenspon Granger Hill Award for her work at the Legal Clinic. In her final year, Rebecca also received a course prize for the highest standing in her Trial Advocacy course.

In her free time, Rebecca loves watching movies with her two cats, Amicus and Ogo.
