Dushime is a summer law student at McCarthy Tétrault's Montreal office for the 2023 summer term. He is expected to graduate from McGill University Faculty of Law in December 2023, having been an exchange student at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. Dushime holds a B.A. Honours with Distinction from Concordia University.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Dushime worked as a consultant at a leading multinational human resource firm and as a summer law student at a leading Canadian law firm. At law school, he leads legal research at Blockchain-at-McGill, primarily focusing on smart contracts and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). He is co-President of Tech Law McGill, a junior editor at the Black Law Journal, and is involved in intramural sports competitions.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Dushime is also highly involved in his community. In his leadership capacities at the Refugee Advisory Group Canada, Canadian Council for Refugees, Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada, and Global Affairs Canada, he advocates for newcomer youth and refugee issues across Canada and the globe.
