Philippe is an associate in the Business Law Group in Montreal. His practice focuses on corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions in a variety of different industry sectors and governance matters for publicly listed issuers. Philippe has worked on a large number of domestic and cross-border share sale transactions, asset sale transactions and other business combinations and transactions.

During Law School, he was the Executive Coordinating Editor of the McGill Law Journal, a teaching assistant for the contractual obligations course and a research assistant at the Private Justice and Rule of Law Group. He was also awarded the Wainwright Prize for best written civil law contribution to the faculty and his academic record earned him a place on the Dean’s Honour List.

Philippe was called to the Quebec Bar in 2021.

Philippe obtained his BA (with Distinction) in Political Science and History from McGill University and his Bachelor of Civil Law and JD from McGill University. Prior to joining the firm, Philippe was a legal intern at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
