Law School

Dalhousie University

Patrick received his J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. At Dalhousie, Patrick received a number of course awards and graduated as the gold medalist. Following law school, he clerked for six justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Patrick first joined McCarthy Tétrault as a summer student in 2022. He returned after his clerkship and call to the British Columbia bar in 2024.
During law school, Patrick was a peer academic mentor for incoming law students, a student editor of the Dalhousie Law Journal, and a member of various intramural soccer teams. After his first year of law school, Patrick worked at a litigation firm in Vancouver.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, Patrick completed his B.A. in English, history, and philosophy at the University of Western Ontario, graduating as the gold medalist from Huron University College. Throughout his undergrad at Western, Patrick competed on the Mustangs varsity swim team. He spent his summers coaching swimming in North Vancouver. Patrick then completed his B.Ed. at the University of British Columbia. Following his B.Ed., he taught English and coached soccer and swimming at a Vancouver secondary school.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys getting outdoors, waking early on weekends to watch Premier League soccer, and spending time with his family of four (his wife, and their dog and cat).
