Owen is entering his final year of the JD program at Western Law. Prior to law school, he received his Honours Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction), in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University with a specialization in Public Policy.

While at Laurier, Owen held various roles in student government, where he oversaw the Student Union’s policy governance system and lobbied government officials on student issues. After graduating in 2021, he worked at the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General, where he supported the province’s Animal Welfare Services division.

At law school, Owen works as a teaching assistant for Western Law’s undergraduate law course. In the summer after his first year, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Ryan Liss in the areas of corporate liability and corruption, transnational crime, and domestic narcotics criminalization.

Outside of the classroom, Owen is a Case Manager for the Western Law Sport Solution Clinic, the Deputy Returning Officer for the Student Legal Society, and a member of the Arnup Cup trial advocacy team.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, watching documentaries, and socializing with friends.
