Mitch is an articling student at McCarthy Tétrault’s Toronto office. He graduated with Distinction from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Faculty of Law, where he was a research assistant for two law professors and an Associate Editor on the UNB Law Journal. Throughout law school, he researched a wide range of areas – including blockchain, artificial intelligence, and empirical legal studies – and published his own article relating to real estate tokenization. He also received several academic awards, including course awards in contract law, insurance law, and administrative law, as well as the A. Frederick Richard Scholarship and the U Sports Academic All-Canadian award as a varsity track athlete.
Before law school, Mitch completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with First Class Honours (Finance) at UNB. With a passion for finance and economics, he won the Canada-wide 16th Edition TMX Options Trading Simulation and was a Student Ambassador for TMX Group during his last year of undergraduate studies. Mitch also has experience in the public sector, working as a Comptroller for two summers.
In his spare time, Mitch enjoys running and playing golf, basketball, and various other outdoor sports.
