Maxime is working towards his bachelor's degree in law at Université Laval. Before starting his law studies, Maxime obtained a DEC in pure and applied sciences at Cégep de Sainte-Foy, all while being a student-athlete on the soccer team. He was also awarded two academic merits throughout his college studies.

During his university studies, Maxime constantly wanted to apply the knowledge acquired during his theoretical courses in a concrete way. He was a volunteer researcher and then a member of the executive council of the Bureau d’information juridique de l’Université Laval. He is currently completing an internship at the Superior Court of Quebec. He also participated in the Pierre-Basile Mignault moot court competition, where he and his partner won the prize for the winning tandem of the final joust. 

In his free time, Maxime divides his time between hunting, fishing and the various sports he practices such as soccer, running and ski touring.
