Mathias is entering his third and final year of studies at Osgoode Haw Law School. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, where he studied music and computer science. He also served as president of the University of Toronto Students’ Union.
At law school, Mathias’ academic interests lie at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy. He has also produced and performed in Mock Trial—the annual student variety show— and serves as an executive of the Osgoode Hall Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada. Mathias has completed placements at the 519 Community Centre in Toronto and the Centre for Law Democracy in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Outside of law school, Mathias serves as music director of both a church and a synagogue and recently joined the Board of Directors of Toronto Jewish Music Week. In his spare time, Mathias is active in politics and the Toronto performing arts community. He is also a passionate foodie who doesn’t believe in following recipes.
