Law School

University of Toronto

Leila holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, she received a Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, where she double majored in criminology and ethics, society, and law.

During her first year as a law student, Leila earned distinction status and was awarded first place standing in contract law. She served as an associated editor for the University’s Law Review, where she further developed an interest in business law and economics. More recently, she completed a summer internship at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, assisting on an ongoing constitutional challenge to Canada’s voting age. She continued her work with the Centre beyond the summer, leading a Working Group at the Faculty of Law that sought to address ongoing police accountability issues in Canada.

Leila is passionately committed to protecting vulnerable populations. In pursuit of this ambition, she founded the first Child Rescue Coalition chapter in Toronto, a group which raised funds and spread awareness to combat child exploitation globally.

In her free time, Leila enjoys reading, baking, and traveling to sunny destinations. She is an avid sports fan and loves watching European football.
