Laura specializes in resolving disputes in Canada's energy sector, including joint ventures, purchase agreements, royalties, and First Nations priorities. She offers expert commercial litigation advice on McCarthy Tétrault’s national dispute resolution platform, assisting with appeals and judicial reviews. Laura also advises on environmental disputes, such as contaminated sites claims, and handles securities litigation, director liabilities, and shareholder disputes.

- Cenovus Energy and Encana Corporation, in a complex litigation matter and appeal involving an CAD$80 million claim relating to accounting for the net revenue realized from primary production development of an oilfield: IFP Technologies (Canada) Inc v EnCana Midstream and Marketing, 2022 ABKB 807 and IFP Technologies (Canada) Inc v EnCana Midstream and Marketing, 2024 ABCA 384
- Confidential client, in multiple international arbitration proceedings relating to contractual audit claims exceeding CAD$75 million

Laura is on the executive of the Calgary Bar Association. She also serves on the boards of directors of The Calgary Zoo and The Wilder Institute, including their respective Finance and Risk Management Subcommittees.
Laura obtained her LLB from the University of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Ottawa, where she graduated as the silver medallist. She was a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Supreme Court.
