Laetitia Ouedraogo is an associate in our Business Law Group in Québec City. Her practice focuses mainly on natural resources law at the national and international level, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, and on the financing of companies and projects, particularly mining projects.
Laetitia is an active member of the firm's Africa group. Drawing on more than eight years of experience as a legal affairs manager for mining projects in West Africa, Laetitia has a good knowledge of OHADA corporate and commercial law. As such, she participated in the negotiation and closing of a major transaction by GoviEx Uranium Inc. with the Government of Niger for a uranium mine project. She is also involved for several clients in active cases in Burkina Faso, in the mining sector.
Laetitia holds a PhD in private law on mining regulation in West Africa and a Master's degree in business law from the University of Picardie Jules Verne in France. She also completed a study programme at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, leading to an LLM in European law.
Laetitia was called to the Québec Bar in 2019. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
