Jim Janetos is a partner in our Projects Group in Toronto. Jim’s practice is focused on major infrastructure and projects, with significant experience advising both the public sector and the private sector on Canadian public-private partnership (P3) and alternative financing and procurement (AFP) transactions. He also assists clients on merger and acquisition transactions, strategic alliances and joint ventures, financings, reorganizations and other private equity and securities related transactions.
SIGNIFICANT REPRESENTATIVE TRANSACTIONS
- Advising the public or public sector regarding various infrastructure/P3/AFP projects including Hurontario Light Rail Transit, New Toronto Courthouse, CAMH Phase 1C Redevelopment, Highway 407 East Extension (Phase 1 and Phase 2), Edmonton Valley Line LRT and Highway 407ETR
- Advising Infrastructure Ontario in connection with various equity sale transactions involving Ontario AFP projects
- Advising Titanium Transportation Group Inc., a TSX-V listed company, in connection with its various acquisitions and debt and equity financing arrangements
- Advising several Canadian private equity firms and asset managers regarding their portfolio investments
Jim received his Hon. B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in 1987, and his LLB from Queen’s University in 1990.
