Known for her client-focused and practical approach to litigation, Jessica helps clients achieve resolutions tailored to their unique objectives. 

Jessica is an associate with McCarthy Tétrault’s Litigation Group in Toronto. She maintains a broad litigation practice with an emphasis on commercial litigation and professional liability.

Jessica has experience acting for private and publicly-held corporations, financial institutions, and individuals in disputes involving shareholders rights, director and officer liability, consumer banking services, and breach of fiduciary and other employee duties. She also advises clients on privacy and cyber breach reporting obligations and acts in related claims. Jessica’s professional liability practice focuses on healthcare related litigation and regulatory issues.

Jessica has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Tax Court of Canada, and all levels of Court in British Columbia. She has also represented clients before numerous administrative tribunals, including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal. 

Jessica volunteers with Pro Bono Students Canada as a supervising lawyer and with St. Michael’s Homes as a member of the board of directors. In addition, she is a contributing author to the CanLII Manual to British Columbia Civil Litigation, which was awarded with the Hugh Lawford Award for Excellence in Legal Publishing. 

Jessica earned her JD from the University of Ottawa where she began volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada, chaired the Faculty of Law’s Social Justice Caucus, and was awarded the Leslie G. Dollinger Memorial Prize for highest standing in taxation law.  She previously earned an Honours BA in Political Studies from Queen’s University.
