Jaspreet Kaur is an associate in our Pensions, Benefits and Executive Compensation Group in Toronto where she advises on legal issues pertaining to provincially and federally regulated pension plans and employee benefit arrangements. Prior to joining this group, Jaspreet was a member of our Tax group where she maintained a general corporate income tax practice.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Jaspreet worked at EY Law in Toronto where she specialized in tax advisory work for financial services clients. Jaspreet articled at another national Canadian firm, which included a secondment at Scotiabank. Prior to her Canadian experience, Jaspreet worked as a Trainee Solicitor with Eversheds LLP in the UK and as junior counsel at the Attorney General of India.
Jaspreet received a Bachelor of Arts and LLB from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research in India (2005) and an LLM in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School (2011). She was admitted to the Bar Council of India in 2005, the Law Society of England and Wales in 2009, and to the Ontario Bar in 2013.
She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
