James has recently finished his second year of law school at the University of Alberta. Prior to beginning his legal studies, James completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (with Distinction) at the University of Calgary, where he was a graduate of the 9th Cohort of the University’s Arts and Science Honours Academy.
Last year, James worked as a summer student for the University of Alberta’s Pro Bono Students Canada chapter, where he had the privilege of helping low-income Albertans navigate legal issues during the Covid-19 pandemic.
While at law school, James volunteers as a caseworker and 2L supervisor for Student Legal Services’ legal education division. Additionally, James has been actively involved in the Faculty’s OUTlaw chapter, serving as a 1L representative.
In his spare time, James can be found out for a run or enjoying some Calgary sun with friends and family.
