Isabelle Nazon is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montréal. Her practice is focused on corporate and securities law, and more specifically on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, capital markets, corporate governance and continuous disclosure obligations.
Ms. Nazon has been involved in mandates such as the following carried out by McCarthy Tétrault:
- Representation of BCE Inc. in the acquisition of the shares of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.;
- Representation of Novacap in the acquisition of a majority stake in Joseph Ribkoff Inc.;
- Representation of Groupe Solmax Inc. in the acquisition of the shares of GSE Holding, Inc.;
- Representation of CIBC World Markets and TD Securities Inc. in the bought deal offering of subscription receipts and preferred shares of Intact Financial Corporation Inc.
Ms. Nazon is involved in her community. She sits on the board of directors of Fondation LatinArte, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the impact of Latin American talent in Quebec, and is also a member of the committee in charge of organizing the Printemps du MAC fund-raising evening for the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. While in law school, she gained experience in business law by taking part in Law without Walls, a legal innovation competition held by the University of Miami. She also served as treasurer of the Université de Montréal law students association.
Ms. Nazon received her Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B), with distinction, from the Faculty of Law of Université de Montréal in 2014. During her legal studies, she was awarded several merit scholarships in recognition of her academic success and influence within the community. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (B.B.A.), with distinction, received from HEC Montréal in 2010. In the course of her B.B.A. program, she studied at Universidad de Granada, Spain.
Ms. Nazon was called to the Quebec Bar in 2015.
