Iris received her J.D. from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. As a volunteer for Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, she assisted members of the local community with housing and tribunal matters. Iris was also actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, and worked closely with local organizations and small business owners from the Greater Napanee and Kingston area. In her last year, Iris spent a semester abroad at Fudan University where she studied Chinese business and foreign investment law.
Prior to law school, Iris completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a high distinction in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto. Concurrent with her studies, she volunteered for a cognitive neuroscience lab and investigated the neurobiology of human decision-making. Following graduation, Iris worked at St. Michael’s Hospital in the Medical Imaging Department where she focused her research on optimizing outcomes for patients and improving clinical workflow. She published in scientific journals relating to neuroscience, medical imaging and radiology.
Outside of work, Iris enjoys snowboarding, squash, traveling, and spending time with friends.
