Irene is a J.D. candidate of Class 2022 at Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, Irene studied at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, completing a BBA program in Information Systems. During her undergraduate, she assisted a professor in his research on the Hong Kong Political Movement. Her involvement includes co-authoring with the professor a paper on the movement’s sociolinguistic aspect.
At Osgoode, Irene enjoyed her Immigration Law caseworker role at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP). She spent her 1L summer volunteering for The Concerned for Working Children, an Indian-based NGO.
Growing up near the ocean, Irene looks forward to doing breath-hold diving again when that’s available. As she now finds herself landbound, she spends leisure time at home practicing Olympic weightlifting and meditation.
