Heather is an associate in our Litigation Group in Vancouver. She maintains a broad civil litigation practice and has experience in a range of areas, including complex commercial litigation, class action defence, and contractual disputes. Heather is also a member of the firm's national Retail and Consumer Markets Group and regularly advises clients on retail matters.
Heather received her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2020. Over the course of her degree, Heather served as Co-President of the Allard Law Women’s Caucus and as Project Lead for her placement at the Legal Services Society through Pro Bono Students Canada. She also volunteered as an Assistant Editor at the UBC Law Review. In her final year of law school, Heather participated in the Judicial Externship Program, conducting legal research for judges at the British Columbia Provincial Court. Heather also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Victoria.
Heather joined McCarthy Tétrault as a summer student in 2019 and returned to article with the firm in 2020. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2021 and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.
