Guillaume Giguère is an associate in our Business Law Group in Québec City.
Guillaume’s practice focuses on large, complex files in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, and securities. In this regard, he represents private or public companies, institutional investors, and venture capital firms in all types of transactional and investment cases. He also advises high growth potential companies through the various phases of their business start-up.
Guillaume completed his LL.L at the University of Ottawa (Cum Laude) in 2016 and a specialized graduate diploma in business law from Université Laval in 2018. During his university studies, he participated in numerous student associations and initiatives, notably as Vice-President of External Affairs of AEEDCO (Association des étudiantes et étudiants en droit de l’Outaouais). Guillaume also founded the Gala Grand Maillet de la Section de droit civil de la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa and chaired its first award evening. In addition, he represented the University of Ottawa at the Laskin, a national moot court competition in administrative and constitutional law. Guillaume also worked for many years as a research assistant for professor Benoît Pelletier, a former Québec cabinet minister.
Before joining the firm, Guillaume worked for another national firm and a large regional firm. He was called to the Québec Bar in 2018 and is a member of the Young Bar Association of Québec City. A dedicated lawyer, Guillaume is notably active as an Ethics representative for Coopérative de développement régional du Québec (CDRQ).
