Mr. Grégory Larroque is counsel to Mr. Jean Charest and liaises with our different market leaders, practice group leaders, as well as regional managing partners. He also practices with our Business Law Group, particularly with our people in energy, infrastructure and mining.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Mr. Larroque practiced as a business lawyer in Montréal for four years. Then, he worked as a policy advisor in the Cabinet du ministre du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation, where he was responsible for economic development portfolios. Mr. Larroque notably participated in the merger of Société Générale de Financement du Québec and Investissement Québec.
Mr. Larroque also served as a policy advisor in the Cabinet du ministre des Finances et de l'Économie, specifically in the finance and investment, energy, infrastructure and mining sectors, as well as with regard to the Plan Nord. He was particularly involved in the preparation of the 2011-2012 and the 2012-2013 Budget Plans of the province of Quebec. Mr. Larroque was part of the work team for the set-up of Ressources Québec, an affiliate of Investissement Québec, responsible for the equity participation policy in the development of natural resources.
Mr. Larroque received a Master of Business Law (LLM) from the Université d’Aix-Marseille III in 2002 and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the Université de Montréal in 2005.
