Glynnis P. Burt is counsel in our Litigation Group in Toronto.
Glynnis has had a broad range of litigation experience in the areas of health law, professional negligence, class actions, product liability, pharmaceutical patents and commercial litigation. Her practice currently focusses heavily on health law, principally in the area of administrative and regulatory proceedings.
Glynnis has had extensive experience in the Superior Court of Ontario, as well as the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Federal Court. She also has considerable experience before various administrative tribunals. She has acted as a prosecutor before the Ontario College of Nurses and the Ontario College of Psychologists, as well as defence counsel to physicians before The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Glynnis was a contributing author to “Defending Class Actions in Canada”, 2d ed. (Toronto, Ontario: CCH Canadian Limited, 2007).
Glynnis received her BA from Queen’s University in 1988 and her LLB from University of Toronto Law School in 1991.
Glynnis is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society.
