Geneviève Baillargeon Bouchard is a counsel at our Litigation Group in Québec City.
Her practice focuses on civil law, with special emphasis on medical and professional liability. She also deals with cases involving disciplinary charges.
Ms. Baillargeon Bouchard joined McCarthy Tétrault in 2018. Prior to her arrival, she practised labour and employment law and administrative law for nine years, regularly representing clients before administrative tribunals and civil courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. She has published various articles and given numerous conferences, covering issues including human rights and freedoms and rules governing the use of social media and information technology.
Within her practice, Ms. Baillargeon Bouchard appears before administrative tribunals and civil courts, including disciplinary bodies. She also teaches administrative law at the École du Barreau de Québec.
Ms. Baillargeon Bouchard received her bachelor’s degree (international profile) with honours from Université Laval in 2008 and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2009. She has been a member of the Quebec Bar’s Professional Training Committee since 2015 and the Chair of the same committee since 2019.
