Emily Hutchison is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montréal. She maintains a general corporate and commercial practice with a focus on technology, communications, and intellectual property.
Emily received her common and civil law degrees (BCL/LL.B) from McGill University in 2017. She previously obtained a BA in Political Science and Communications at McGill University where she graduated with First Class Honours.
While studying law at McGill, Emily was a founding member of the McGill Students’ Legal Startup Clinic, worked as a junior editor for the Oxford Yearbook of International Investment Law & Policy and was also a finalist at the Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot. She spent her final semester of law school on exchange at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC. Following her studies, Emily served as judicial clerk to the Honourable Justice Jocelyne Gagné at the Federal Court of Canada,
Emily was called to the Québec bar and to the Ontario bar in 2018. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
