Ellen has particular experience in financial markets, banking and corporate lending. She has great intuition with finance-related subject matters. She holds a degree in finance and economics from the University of Toronto. She has worked for a number of large international financial institutions including BNP Paribas and Wells Fargo. In particular she has experience in risk management. She was part of the risk management team covering the Canadian lending portfolio at Wells Fargo. Ellen developed experience with high risk transactions at the Bank of Export Development Canada. Ellen has worked on multi-million dollar cross-border transactions.
In her extra-curricular activities, Ellen enjoys contributing to student governance. She has been on many university governing councils, boards, and committees. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the student government at McGill University. She also helps to enforce ethical conduct as a member of the university's student disciplinary tribunal. She is representing Canada in an international tax treaty research competition.
