Daryna Kutsyna is an associate in the Business Law Group in Toronto. She maintains a general business practice advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions.
During her time at the firm, Daryna has assisted clients in merger and acquisition deals, securitization transactions, domestic and international financings and strategic partnership agreements spanning over the financial services, private equity, cannabis, ventures and technology sectors.
Daryna graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2020. During her time at the Faculty, she was an Academic Success Program (ASP) tutor, sat on the University of Toronto Academic Integrity Tribunal, and helped facilitate the Faculty mooting program as an executive on the Moot Court Committee. She was also top oralist and part of the first-place team at the 2019 Davies Corporate/Securities moot.
Prior to her legal education, Daryna received an Honours Bachelor of Arts with high distinction from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. She was awarded the Robert H. Catherwood scholarship for excellence in the international relations stream and the Fairfax scholarship for contributions to the student community. Daryna gained communications and stakeholder relations experience through several years spent working in federal politics and competing nationally as a debater. She is proficient in Russian and Ukrainian.
Daryna was called to the bar in 2021 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
