Danny Grandilli is a partner in the firm’s Toronto office. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate and real estate private equity. He has particular experience in every major Canadian market with acquisitions and dispositions, development, the structuring of real estate acquisitions and development projects (including co-ownerships and limited partnerships) and real estate private equity offerings.
Danny has concentrated a significant portion of his practice in serving the pension fund community and has been engaged by several pension funds, large and small, and pension fund asset managers in acquisitions, dispositions, joint-venture arrangements and asset management advice.
In recent years, Danny has developed a significant and leading practice in the marketing, promotion and structuring of real estate private equity funds, including open and closed-end funds, discretionary and non-discretionary funds and funds involving all real estate asset classes.
Danny is the co-author of Real Estate Practice in Ontario, now in its eighth edition, an authoritative text on real estate practice in Ontario.
Danny received his BA from the University of Toronto (St. Michael’s College) in 1984 and his LLB from Queen’s University in Kingston in 1987.
