Christy is a third-year law student at the University of Calgary. Prior to law school, she completed both a Master of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree at the University of Calgary.
Christy has held several research positions at the University of Calgary and published her work in various scientific journals. Christy has worked abroad, teaching English as a second language in Vietnam, and doing rural farm work in Australia.
Christy is the project lead for the Mamas for Mamas Legal Information project with the University of Calgary chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada. In the past, she has volunteered locally with the Calgary Seniors’ Resource Society and Inn from the Cold, and supported volunteer efforts abroad in Kenya, Ecuador, and Mexico.
In her spare time, Christy is an avid weight-lifter and recently competed in her first body-building competition. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and travelling overseas as much as possible.
