Chris Scotland is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto.
Chris maintains a general litigation practice including corporate commercial litigation, securities law, regulatory matters, and professional negligence including medical malpractice and auditor liability.
While at Western Law, he participated in many advocacy competitions and won the BLG Client Consultation Competition in his first year. Chris was also listed among the top oralists in the 2017 Davies Corporate/Securities Law Competition while the Western team finished second overall and tied for third for its written submissions. He also completed a semester abroad in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
Chris earned his Bachelor in Organizational and Managerial Studies with a specialization in Finance and Administration at Western as well. Prior to attending law school, Chris earned his CA and CPA designations while working six years at KPMG, spending significant time in audit before specializing in corporate tax. Chris worked at the Western Business Law Clinic during his first two years of law school and in the summer of 2016. He received his Juris Doctor from Western University in 2018.
Chris was called to the Ontario bar in 2019. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
