Cassiopée practices as an associate in the Litigation and Bankruptcy & Restructuring groups. Her practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, class actions, construction law, bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and banking law. Cassiopée is involved in resolving various types of disputes before the Quebec courts as well as in implementing informal restructurings.

Cassiopée has recently been involved in the following cases:

  • Acting for companies and professionals in the construction industry in disputes involving contractual breaches, construction defects, and faulty workmanship.
  • Acting for companies and financial institutions in class actions involving securities and securitization issues.
  • Acting for the provisional administrator of a new residential building warranty plan appointed by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec in various disputes, including construction defects and debt recovery.
  • Acting for debtor companies, particularly in the pharmaceutical and food industries, in restructuring proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act.
  • Acting for creditors (financial institutions and private lenders) in proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act; and
  • Acting for a financial institution in the contestation of notices of collocation issued by a bailiff.

Cassiopée understands the importance of community and passionately participates in various pro bono and community projects. In this regard, she has been involved in representing an organization in the Luamba case and act as a mentor for university students.

Cassiopée was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B.) from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She also holds a Bachelor's degree in pharmacology and a Master of Laws in Health Law (LL.M.) from the Université de Sherbrooke, as well as a Master II in Law and Governance of Health Institutions from the Université de Montpellier.

During her studies, Cassiopée received the following distinctions:

  • UQAM Foundation scholarship for achieving the highest grade of her cohort in the advanced civil procedure course (2022);
  • Recognition as one of the 24 outstanding students by the Department of Legal Sciences at UQAM, allowing her to attend a workshop presented in collaboration with the International Association of Women Judges (2021);
  • Éditions Yvon Blais award for achieving the highest grade in her cohort in the civil liability course (2021);
  • Mention of excellence for her master's essay on accessibility to dental care services in Quebec (2019);
  • First place in the Centenary Competition 2018 (Montpellier) for participating in the writing of a collective paper on the impact of the Great War of 1914-1918 on health law (2018).
  • Mention of excellence for the presentation of a clinical study project on the impact of surgery on the quality of life of patients with brain tumors (glioblastoma), conducted under the supervision of Dr. David Fortin and researcher Laurent-Olivier Roy (summer 2015).
