Bianca Déprés is a lawyer in the firm’s Business Law Group in Montréal. She maintains a corporate practice with a focus in mining.
Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, she has been a member of a team representing a foreign company in connection with the purchase of assets, and also a member of a team on the lender side for the financing of a renewable energy project, at a major law firm in the Montréal area.
Bianca has written numerous publications in mining, particularly in mining finance. Recent publications include her articles in the Canadian Mining Journal entitled: "Crowdfunding in the Mining Sector" and on Mining.com entitled "Crowdfunding in the mining sector: will the UK be next to join this trend?".
Bianca earned her civil and common law degrees from the Université de Montréal and her Master degree in 2015 entitled: "Mining-Ventures: A discussion on possible financing methods and alternatives". She also obtained a certificate in Mining law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2016. Prior to law school, she obtained her bachelor degree in Political Sciences from McGill University. She also attended various classes in Mandarin at the University level and completed two language exchanges in China.
Bianca was called to the Québec bar in 2016. She is a member of the Young Bar of Montreal and of the Canadian Bar Association.
