Aron is an associate currently dedicated to working with our MT>Ventures client community of early and mid-stage growth companies and is also part of the Technology Law Group and the Fintech Group. His practice focuses on corporate and technology law, with emphases on technology development and commercialization, tech finance and M&A, and business process outsourcing. Aron advises clients ranging from early-stage tech start-ups to established companies on a variety of corporate and technology matters, including sell- and buy-side M&A, early stage financing, complex services arrangements, systems development and implementation, emerging technologies, software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, and licensing arrangements.

Aron completed a BA in Psychology with a minor in Business at the University of Victoria in 2008, and received his JD from the University of Toronto in 2016. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Associate, Ontario Bar Association, CAN-TECH, and the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group.

Prior to practicing law, Aron provided IT solutions implementation support to a large provincial crown corporation, through which he gained valuable insight into how technology is best introduced into large organizations in order to ensure smooth and unfettered growth.


  • Assisting numerous early-stage technology companies with their startup and growth, including pre-seed and seed financing rounds and other equity and financing arrangements, as well as commercialization of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and services
  • Advising a US-based technology company on Canadian legal matters relating to its investment in a Canadian technology company
  • Supporting a major Canadian bank in relation to an on-premises cloud solution implementation and related off-premises non-production cloud solution implementation from a leading service provider
  • Advising a large telecommunications provider in connection with various large-scale IT hardware and system procurements and implementations
  • Assisting a major Canadian financial institution in relation to mortgage insurance arrangements with two leading service providers
  • Advising a leading international outsourcing service provider in relation to a Canadian cloud solution implementation
  • Advising the Toronto-Dominion Bank on its C$792 million acquisition of Greystone Managed Investments
