After obtaining a college diploma in Law, Society and Justice from Dawson College, Anita went on to earn her bachelor's degree in law (LL.B) at Université de Montréal. As a result of her outstanding performance, she received a number of awards of excellence and other honours throughout her academic career.
Anita is also involved in her community and has carved out a place for herself in student life at her faculty. With her commitment to civic duty, Anita became involved with the Clinique juridique de Saint-Michel, where she led training sessions on racial profiling to racialized teenagers of the neighborhood, among other contributions. While in university, Anita served as chair of the Amnesty International committee at the Université de Montréal law faculty for two years in a row. She was ultimately able to make use of her knowledge and of her sound advice when she began serving as a tutor and a mentor at her faculty.
When time permits, Anita enjoys discovering new restaurants in Montréal and strives to keep up to date on the latest political developments around the world, including with respect to the rights of women and people of colour.
Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Anita worked at a boutique firm in Montréal in civil and commercial litigation.
